Thanks for stopping by.
My name is Louise and I’m a UX designer with a special interest in enterprise (or complex) UX who originally started in communication and marketing.
I collected six years of experience with online communication and marketing, three of those working with platform-based start-ups and tech firms, before I realised I was better suited for and more interested in UX design and the types of problems one solves there.
So I did something scary, I decided to gamble it all and switch.
I started by sharpening my skillset through online courses (Interaction Design Foundation), learn basic HTML and CSS (Codecademy), networking with and contacting UX’ers (who have been incredibly generous and helpful), visit many different companies to get a feel for the industry and my own interests and read lots of books.
Through my activities, I found Templafy and immediately felt an interest in their enterprise SaaS product. Luckily they also found an interest in me and agreed to an internship. There I worked with the heart of the Templafy SaaS solution, namely the admin centre. In order to help evolve the admin, I had to thoroughly understand how the solution technically works and find ideas that might work with the (sometimes) differing needs of the client’s users, sales and development at Templafy and business partners. No easy job and at times frustrating. But never the less exactly what I enjoy doing.
To dive further into enterprise UX I did another internship at at Ørsted. Here I worked with the final stages of a windmill project, namely finalizing high fidelity wireframes and creating onboarding material. Onboarding is sometimes overlooked, and it was rewarding to take the lead on this step.
At present, I am practising my empathy skills with my baby girl. But will be looking for opportunities in 2020 in enterprise/B2B UX design and research (or other similarly complex situations/solutions), but don’t hesitate to reach out if there is anything else I can help you with.
